Guano Hills Trek
PANGOTA quiet, untamed forest walk winding through bamboo groves, thick oaks and deodars. Away from the town it offers birdwatching solitude, serene silence and frequent sightings of rare Himalayan birds.
While popular routes like Naina Peak (Cheena Peak) and Tiffin Top draw most of the casual tourist traffic, Nainital and the surrounding Kumaon hills hold several offbeat, lesser-known treks — through oak forests, bird sanctuaries and quiet ridge lines. Here are six of our favourites, all within easy reach of Blessed Aura.
March–June for clear skies and blooming rhododendrons, and September–November for crisp Himalayan vistas.
For longer forest walks like Kunjkharak, hiring a local birding guide or regional trek leader is recommended — the canopy cover is dense.
Most trailheads are a short drive from Blessed Aura — tell us the day before and we'll help arrange a cab, a guide and a packed breakfast.
